Starts From / Returns to Mombasa & North Coast Beach Areas – We’ll pick you up from your hotel or resort and transfer to Mombasa/Diani Airport for your morning flight.The 3-day flight package to the Mara is an easy way to explore Africa’s scenic wonders and wildlife. On this short flight you’ll have views of the Great Rift Valley and the snow-capped peak of towering Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the continent. Upon landing at Masai Mara, a host from your lodge or tented camp will welcome you and begin your journey through Africa’s premier game park. Your 3-day adventure will feature game drives through the rolling savannah on the lookout for lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. But you won’t have to look very far to take in the thousands of migrating wildebeest, zebra and gazelle that fill the broad plain as they search for fresh grass on their epic journey through the reserve. Smaller game abound here and because of the variety of habitats in the Mara, more than 400 bird species alight on these immense stretches of grassland and acacia trees. The Mara River cuts through the reserve, and here you’ll find the ever-present hippo and crocodile. The crocs as well as other predators play their part in this vast ecosystem, ready to pursue the great numbers of wildebeest and zebra flowing into the park. An early morning pickup from your beach resort will start your safari adventure as we bring you to Mombasa Airport. Your chartered flight lifts off between 7:30 hrs. – 8:30 hrs. for the approximately two-hour scenic trip. From your perch in the sky, you’ll get views of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro and the sprawling Kenya landscape.
You’ll touch down at about 10:30 hrs.
Settle into your open-top 4 x 4 Jeep for your first drive through the Masai Mara. This will be a short intro safari as you head to your accommodation to freshen up and get ready for lunch. Enjoy your first safari meal as your Guide shares facts about the reserve and the different areas you can visit. You’ll set out in your Jeep to discover the densest wildlife population in the region. Moving over the Mara’s golden savannas, past picture-perfect acacia trees, you’ll witness a menagerie of Africa’s dramatic wildlife.
You’ll be looking for lions, leopards, cheetahs, plus towering giraffes and elephants, grazing in the fields and forests.This is the land of the Great Migration – where thousands of wildebeests and zebras come across the Mara River on their annual trek for more abundant food. If you’re here during the season (July – October) prepared to be amazed at the incredible numbers of wildlife marching before you.During your two-day Mara adventure, you get to decide on your game-viewing schedule. Your guide will have ideas about which areas of the park to view certain wildlife. But the choice of what to do and at what pace is entirely yours.
Note: For those guests staying at conservancies who wish to travel to the Mara triangle area to view the Great Migration river crossings, there is an $80 per person surcharge.

An early rise will bring us into the park’s golden morning light as the wildlife emerges into the new day. Schedule as many game drives as you wish to fill out this full day of safari viewing. As you adventure over the savannah, past the Mara’s distinctive acacia trees, you’ll be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.
And, if you’re here during the season of the Great Migration (July – October) you’ll be treated to a virtual river of wildlife flowing into the reserve. Thousands and tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle flood in from the Serengeti, creating the largest movement of animals on earth.To fully appreciate the Mara experience, you can partake in an optional visit to a local Maasai village where you’ll get to meet these indigenous people and learn about their culture and lifestyle.
For the ultimate safari adventure, ask your guide to arrange for an optional early morning hot air balloon ride over the park. You’ll rise above the Mara, seeing the fields come alive as the sunlight and the wildlife fill the broad landscapes below.
Overnight shall be at your Masai Mara safari lodge / tented camp.

Let’s rise with the sun to make the most of our second day in the park. You may want to explore areas you haven’t yet covered. Enjoy the early morning light – this is a quiet, peaceful time in the Mara. We’ll move on to breakfast back at your accommodation and maybe discuss ideas for our final safari drive. Then it’s time to grab that extra game viewing drive before heading over to the airstrip.
We’ll head for the airstrip and some final wildlife viewing before boarding your flight. Departure will be at 14:00 hrs. (2:00 pm) for the scenic flight back to the Kenya coast. You’ll arrive at the coast at 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm) where you’ll be met by Lozi Tours & Safaris personnel for the transfer back to your hotel.
